Things that I'm lovin' right now...

IMG_0092IMG_0182

  1. I spent last weekend with my family at my brother's ordination.
  2. I only have one week of school left.
  3. I'm visiting a friend I grew up with in Bangladesh this weekend.  I haven't seen him in over 10 years.
  4. I only stalled once on the way to Bible study tonight (maybe 2-3 times on the way back).  I'm learning how to drive a stick, and I love it.
  5. My sister's baby is due in 4 months.
  6. I'm learning that I can't build my house on the sandy land... I've got to build on a rock! (Matthew  7)

Psalm 135

Hallelujah.

Praise the name Yahweh;
give praise, you servants of Yahweh
who stand in the house of Yahweh,
in the courts of the house of our God.
Praise Yahweh, for Yahweh is good;
sing hymns to His name, for it is pleasant.
For Yahweh has chosen Jacob for Himself,
Israel, as His treasured possession.

For I know that Yahweh is great,
that our Lord is greater than all gods.
Whatever Yahweh desires He does
in heave and earth,
in the seas and all the depths.
He makes clouds rise from the end of the earth;
He makes lightning for the rain;
He releases the wind from His vaults.
He struck down the first-born of Egypt,
against Pharaoh and all his servants;
He struck down many nations
and slew numerous kings--
Sihon, king of the Amorite,
Og, king of Bashan,
and all the royalty of Canaan--
and gave their lands as a heritage,
as a heritage to His people Israel.

O Yahweh, Your name endures forever,
Your fame, O Yahweh, through all generations;
for Yahweh will champion His people,
and obtain satisfaction for His servants.

The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
the work of men's hands.
They have mouth, but cannot speak;
they have eyes, but cannot see;
they have ears, but cannot hear,
nor is there breath in their mouths.
Those who fashion them,
all who trust in them,
shall become like them.

O house of Israel, bless Yahweh;
O house of Aaron, bless Yahweh;
O house of Levi, bless Yahweh;
you who fear Yahweh, bless Yahweh.
Blessed is Yahweh from Zion,
He who dwells in Jerusalem.

Hallelujah.

Some things I've appreciated recently...

5.  Granny smiths are my favorite apple.  I eat the whole thing, core and everything.  Yummy.  I especially appreciate them when I eat other apples that aren't nearly as tasty.

4.  Pho ... This is a Vietnamese soup.  It is sooooo delicious.  My favorite is the Eye-of-round with flank.  It's a treat when I have a couple dollars to spare and friends to go with.

Pontiac_Logo 3.  My Pontiac Sunbird is dead.  I have been praising the Lord for the use I've gotten out of my little Angie Krisine.  I guess it's time to move on.  I'll miss her.

2.  I love my little Greek New Testament.  I've been taking it around to church and Bible study and follow along.  It's been a while since I've studied it formally, but it's slowly coming back.

1.  I've been remembering my dear Santals in Bangladesh more recently than I have for a while.  The more I think about the people and language, the more I remember.  I wish that I could go back.
