Where's my home?

Today in chapel, a dear friend of mine got up and shared a bit of her heart and touched mine.  She's a fellow MK from Bangladesh, and she reminded me of something I learned a long time ago.  bangladeshI will never ever feel a true sense of belonging no matter where I live until I go to heaven to spend eternity with my Jesus.  This realization has healed a lot of pain I've had from moving from place to place and having to make new friends everywhere I go.  Not only has is healed that pain, I have gained an enormous appreciation for the experiences that I've had!!!countrychart_4080

Arts Festival in Dallas (Photography by Rachel Staab)

It was a beautifully warm day, and Rachel took some amazing pictures before a guy sapped the battery life from both our cameras. The top picture is of Sarah and me, and the rest are glimpses of Dallas.

No plan can succeed...

"There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD. The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD." --Proverbs 21

I am 9-10 months away from getting on a plane headed to Nigeria where I will be serving for the next 2-3 years, Lord willing. Please pray for me and for LBT as we are working out the details of my assignment.

FYI: Nigeria has over 500 languages and is an area of greatest need for translation work. http://www.wycliffe.org/About/Statistics/GreatestNeed.aspx

In the meantime, I'm finishing up my studies and heading home in June! (for a little while at least)
